Education is very important in the Czech Republic. The literacy rate is 97%. It was decided soon after mission work began that a good way to reach people with the Gospel would be through a Christian Day School. In the fall of 1992 the school opened its doors to students from Kindergarten through grade nine. Classes were held in a rented facility in Skvrnany. The enrollment was 37. In the fall of 1995 Martin Luther School moved to the newly renovated building at Skolni namesti 1 (pictured to the right). The purchase and renovation of this building have allowed the school to grow. Current enrollment is about 200 students.
